Recent Junk Rescues

Well, I can't really call these rescues on Betsy's level so I should call them "fix-ups" instead.
This is what became of that crusty old camera I scored this post.  I added a vintage postcard, printed out the  words and WA-LA, no longer crusty. Oh, and I scrubbed off the garage dirt.
This is the 8-track case from this post.  I'm not sure the outside is finished but I have to let it "steep" a while to decide if I want to do more.
The inside is finished.  A little vintage wallpaper goes a long ways in a fix-up!  See, I ready do DO something with some of this stuff I drag home!  8+)

All My Favorite Things

I took last Monday off from work and treated myself to a long weekend.  I was able to meet up with my sweet friend, Carol, for a long overdue visit.  She gifted me with a belated birthday bag filled with ALL my favorite things!  Do you love that card?  Yes, we were drinking a beer at a local brew pub while I opened the treasures.  It is, after all, Portland.
A new birdie for my collection.  You can never have too many birdies, nor can you count them because I have tried.  They fly around and I lose track....  I adore my birdies.
Buttons and sparkly bling.  She knows me well!
She RESCUED everything except the birdie.  A friend of hers is cleaning out her mother's home and just throwing everything away.  JUST SHOOT ME NOW!!  I haven't picked a dump so far but stories like that make me want to!  Thank you so much, Carol, for thinking of me and for saving the treasure.  I love ya, girl!
