I am really trying to limit my gathering for a while and focus on listing on Etsy because my art room is a serious heap. The hunting and gathering is just so much more fun and the photographing and listing feels like a daunting chore lately. I think I might be a little burned out on Etsy and I'm not really sure what to do about that...
I couldn't resist the round jar. I have filled it with MOP buttons and will enjoy it for myself for a while before I pass it along. The Infant of Prague is my third one and makes the collection official now. The mugs are clearly not vintage but they have Margaret Loxton images on them, which I love, so will be staying with me.
The wishing well is McCoy and already listed on my Etsy - yay me!
These sample cards of trims are a favorite find. They are from high-end Scalamandre Silks. Each sample is just about 4" long so a perfect size for cards and crazy quilting.
I divided them in to three lots for Etsy and one has sold. Whittling away at the pile...

Lovely finds!! Love those fabric samples, those would make cute little tags or pages for a scrapbook! :) Neat find with the round jar, I'm sure you could enjoy some pretty buttons in there! And the wishing well is so cute too, would be cute in a fairy garden! :) Happy Saturday! xo Holly
So much fun!! Thought that well was McCoy. Love the little S & P holder and the tiny bottle. those samples are a great find. So many uses for them!! I have several (a collection as there are at least 3) of the round jar things that I fill up with stuff.
I feel your pain with etsy, I too am burned out I'm afraid.....this month so far is a bust (I know it's only the 4th but impatient is my middle name!)
It's hard to get motivated sometimes, maybe that's why I'm branching out into an antique mall?
Maybe that will help 'shake things up' a bit.
Here's hoping!
Love all those sample trims and that round jar, it reminds me of a crystal ball. I agree that it's so much more fun to hunt it all down. I wish I had someone to take pictures and write for me...in a perfect world.
Totally agree about the hunt being much more fun than the work afterward! My DH can't believe how much stuff I have piled up that I haven't yet listed. I've been using Etsy's new ads with the lowest daily spending amount they offer, and it has really improved my sales. You might give it a try if you're not using it already. More fees for them, but as long as I'm selling I'm ok with that.
I am sure you will fill up that shadowbox with some interesting display. I like all the trim cards. I am sure you will probably use those in your art. The wishing well is cute too. I have one of those globe jars too. Glad you found some stuff this weekend.

I love the trim samples. You always find the good stuff. I swear all the good stuff left the east coast for the west! Thank you for sharing, as always!
Hi Kathy, once again you found some great treasures. Love the sample trims.
Enjoying catching up tonight. Had family company for a long weekend.
Sorry to be late in answering your headboard question.
For that redo, I used a mix of rubbed oil bronze spray paint for the brass areas and black blended on the rose detailed joints. It all blends together by spraying. I did this outside of course. Hope this helps with your question.
Have a great week.
Hugs
wow, those trim cards are great, that was a find. I used to sell on line too, but really burned out, I hated listing and photographing too

That round globe could be so much fun to make something with - Halloween fortune teller, or snow globe!
I was going to say snow globe too! Love the finds especially the planter and the divided display box.
