I want everything in this picture, including her dress!
Okay, and this one, too. Well, maybe not the ice box. I'm sort of addicted to electricity.
Love the elephant bookend, at least the one on this end.
I'll take a couple of each of these, too, please.
From what I can gather, I think this magazine is something Glidden paint put out as advertising. Each is only about 20 pages. I looked up Brighter Homes and a chain of stores does exist with that name but it seems like they didn't start until around 1960 so I don't know if there is any connection.
That shower curtain!
All of these old prints were tucked inside the pages of the magazines. I love that someone saved them. Thanks to The Grapes of Wrath and The Waltons, I picture the Depression Era as sepia colored and dusty. I stand corrected!

I like the title of the magazine...Brighter Homes. So fun to peek through those pages.
Hi Kathy, Love this and the title for the mag too. I could look through those pages for hours. So much to take in. Thanks for sharing.

Oh I love looking through old magazines too. I have often framed and sold pictures from fashion magazines. Hope your booth is going well

They really are pretty illustrations. I'm always trying to see what dolls the little girls are holding! heehee! Hugs, Diane
I love old magazines, even the ads are fun to look at. That old ice box would be a perfect end table. So many fun things!!
