About the time I turned 50 [a few years ago!] I stopped using cosmetics, other than a little compact powder for the shiny nose. Somehow, 50 was a very liberating age for me. I felt a surge of freedom, like I was finally free to be who I really am and stop trying to be what society told me I should be. I don't know how much it does for me, especially with high-def cameras, but joy certainly FEELS like the best makeup to me!

I stopped wearing make up at about 45. Until I was 42, I had 20/20 vision. I quickly went to needing bifocals and I couldn't see to put my make up on!
I agree that joy is wonderful makeup. I just need some the commercial kind for the joy to shine through!!
I gave up most makeup (except the occasional mascara and eyeliner) when I moved to Florida. With all the heat, I could never keep it on; it seemed to slide down my face with "the glow!"
I admire your natural hair color, too!
I've always said, a smile makes you beautiful! I quit wearing make up a long time ago, too (except for a little mineral makeup) and I use vaseline for lip gloss. I'm glad I quit coloring my hair, too. It really is liberating! Hugs!
I stopped colouring my hair at age 50! It is so liberating not to worry about roots anymore. And I LOVE the natural silver colour!
