Despite my efforts to discipline myself, I was sucked in by a sale advertised as a digger. I will discipline myself NEXT weekend. Maybe... The framed picture in the back says petit point but it looks to me like it is printed on the fabric and not actual petit point. No matter, I think it is lovely
Carded buttons, how can you not buy those - for cheap on the first day??
These are a few of my favorite buttons plus a pile of vintage linens which are supposed to be off limits. Maybe it was just the last hurrah of Summer but I had to bring them home. If I don't rescue them then who will? Well, that seemed like justification enough for me.
Dice to add to my collection (future post), a perfectly Grandma-green oil can, a milk glass spooner and spoons to go with it.
I scored my first two Kellogg's spoons (sorry Ethel!) and a Gerber spoon that looks a lot less creepy now that I have polished it.
Everyone is all a-buzz about Pyrex so I decided to get on board and picked up this gravy boat.
Love love this old teakettle with dark red Bakelite handles. It cleaned up beautiful. The thumb tacks have neat heads and I am sure I can use them for something.
Last but not least, vintage curtain panels. Scroll back up to the first picture for a better look at the curtains. There are four panels of the pink floral ones and they are the pinch-pleated kind for old-fashioned traverse rods. My children make fun of my traverse rod drapes in my living room but I have had the kind you have to pull back and forth and have no desire to stand on the sofa to do it. That ship has sailed, I just want to pull the cord!

Do not, I repeat, do not discipline yourself! If you listened to that inner voice you wouldn't have all these goodies. You keep going while the pickin's are good.
I did not even hit any sales last weekend and missed this digger! No worries on the spoons, as I have both of them already in the collection!
The vintage linens are my favorite of the lot!

Everything is lovely and I especially love the linens.Those curtains are to die for. Mom had traverse rods in her house and they were nice, except when they stopped working correctly. I haven't seen any traverse rods in a long time and most houses up here in Flagstaff have wood blinds or mini blinds with curtains to the side as accents. Your idea sounds more appealing.
To discipline myself, and I do so frequently, I whip myself. With a wet noodle. Dipped in spaghetti sauce. In my mouth. Until the bowl of it is gone. I recently pulled things out of my flatware drawer, and one of the things was a Tony the Tiger spoon similar to your Kellogg spoons. I was debating at the time as to whether or not to keep it. I still am. I don't NEED it, because we recently purchased a new-to-us set of flatware (for $4). A 5-piece place setting for TWELVE!!! (minus one dinner fork) I usually kept my Tony the Tiger spoon for when we ran out of spoons. My mom got the spoon for me years and years ago by sending away for it, probably using box tops and a dollar or two. I also had a plastic footed bowl (long gone). What to do, what to do. I guess I will hold onto it a little while longer, but now I will think of you, too (and Magpie Ethel). It's funny how YOUR finds affect ME, and it happens so often. So, keep sharing! They're good feelings.
