Weekend Fun

It has been so easy to get a junk fix at The Bins that I hadn't been to the VOA or Nina and Joe's for a couple of weeks.  Well I couldn't have them worrying about me now could I! I made the rounds to both on Saturday and had a fun catch up.
I added this sweet vintage postcard to my collection for a "girls of Summer" display I plan to do on my kitchen hutch this Summer.  I have had little success finding any to do with Fourth of July but I think the girls will fit the season just fine.
This interesting little dish is destined for Etsy, as is most of this loot.  The back is marked Puritan China Melody Japan.  I love the unusual metal rim.  It is permanently attached to the dish.
I picked up these two cobalt blue bottles to add to my windowsill collection in my bedroom.  I'm sure you recognize the one in the front as Evening in Paris.  I remember my mother having a bottle.  That perfume was so popular, I wonder what ever became of it.  I'll have to look that up sometime.
My little collection defies being photographed with the back-light but I tried.  NO, my window is not dirty, that is just the screen and the reflection.  I think I just showed you an intentional collection!

I'm so glad you showed your collection of blue bottles. Yes, I remember Evening in Paris. I think I bought a small bottle for my mother many, many years ago. I, too, wonder whatever happened to that scent.

I love your blue bottle collection and the clever way you have them displayed. Now that you're caught up with your thrifting rounds, you'll have to start all over again this weekend. Ya never know what you might be missing!!

Your blue bottles are so pretty. That plate is something I don't think I've ever seen. Looks like a good weekend haul.

Every time I look at a pic of all your finds, one things pops out. Today it is what looks like an enamel dish. I have 2 favorite small enamel bowls that we bought when we lived in Jamaica. We were poor and they were all that we could afford.

this is such a pretty haul! I think the beach girls are perfect for a summer display. You'll have to post a picture once you have it up.
