Windows Explorer has categorized these photos as being taken "a long time ago" so I am apparently a little behind. These treasures are from LAST weekend. Windows Explorer needs to have a little patience.
Everything except the pile of t-shirts came from Division Street Antiques. Gosh I love that place. A leather suitcase for my collection for $7.
They had a cigar box filled with MOP buttons waiting for me. In cute little plastic boxes - bonus!
I took the time to thumb through the stacks of vintage postcards and found some new rose cards for my collection, plus a few of those old sweetheart scenes.
I was delighted finding this set that tell a little story. They haven't told me the story yet but I'll be ready when they do.
The t-shirts came from the VOA and they are fueling my latest project. That will be another post, hopefully not from "a long time ago".

Easy Peasy
I was just worn out on Sunday night. I know that is pathetic but two days just isn't enough when you're working hard, you know? Anyway, I need something easy-peasy and mindless to relax with. No thinking required. I pulled out some wallpaper that would go with the brown color and pulls these cardboard drawers already had. Since it matched I didn't bother covering around the edges - easy peasy! Since I already had the wallpaper out I pulled out a petite vintage suitcase that had been waiting patiently in the closet for far too long. Wa-La, two easy-peasy projects done! What do you do when you need some creative time but your thinker is worn out?

Show and Tell
I got so preoccupied with washing and ironing that I almost forgot to show you the necklace I made while we were camping. Michaels was out of black in the balls of crochet thread and I wanted to make a black and pink necklace so I picked up a little skein of Patons that looked like it was about the same gauge. It worked okay but I don't think it's as sturdy as regular crochet thread. I use random beads and sometimes the holes are just barely big enough. This yarn shredded and broke several times from the abrasion of pulling it through the smaller beads. Still came out pretty and I LOVE making these necklaces.
It is unpacked now, of course, but I thought I'd show you the little suitcase I use for my "traveling art room". It's so cute! The tray of compartments in the top lifts out. It works out great because you can put small things in the top and the long compartment is lidded. When it's packed full (like it always is) things stay put even when you pick it up and carry it by the handle. I think it was probably a toiletry case.
