The button overlords have not been smiling on me lately so I finally resorted to buying some online to get a "fix". Those of you who love buttons will understand. I bought this little pile of bling from Etsy seller Converged Commodities. All are metal except the black one, which is plastic. The square one is my favorite. I think it is the oldest one and the rhinestones are set in some sort of pot metal.
I scored this vintage Kusnadi New York top on my last trip to The Bins. It doesn't fit me but who could resist it at the prices at The Bins and with those buttons!
I don't usually gravitate to designer and studio buttons but I love these. They look to be made of MOP or bone and they are carved. I will save the sweet brocade fabric from the sleeves, as well.
Do you ever buy used clothing for the buttons?

The blingy buttons are fantastic! The top and buttons are so cool!! I bought a skirt at a thrift shop for the big colored rhinestone buttons going down the front!
i would try to sell the dress on ebay, but then again, buttons are buttons...
I once bought a wedding dress (for $5) for the lace from the Salvation Army - does that count LOL....I really need to go through my buttons - I keep seeing similar ones in your posts so I have to believe I have some oldy but goodies - maybe I will post and get some opinions...Thanks K
I understand the need for a good button fix! Love the pretty rhinestone beauties you found. Those carved buttons are so unusual, they look like little faces to me:-)
All the buttons are pretty. I have only bough used clothing to wear. But then, I don't have a button jones like some people I know :>)
I don't usually look at the clothes at thrift shops -- look what I'm missing! You must have the best bins in the country!
Ah I can totally relate to your button fascination! I have jars of them... I rarely USE them tho. Aren't they just to LOOK at? ;)
