Wooden Buttons

I don't seek out wooden buttons but they seem to find me and who am I to turn away a wayward button.  I do think that some of them are pretty and interesting.  Pretty interesting.
These pinwheels are great and the square one with them looks like it is carved from a burl or maybe some kind of nut.  That one in the lower right compartment with the two big holes is a nut shell.
Some interesting shapes and a pretty set painted with random lines that remind me of spatter painting.
Natural wood in all sorts of shapes.  Those two large ones are huge, 1-3/4" in diameter.
A few stained and painted buttons. That round red one is kind of washed out in the picture but it is Christmas red and reminds me of a cabinet knob, in fact, that is what I thought it was when I first found it.  The torpedo-shaped one has two large holes and I think it was for some sort of toggle closure.
I hope you are all enjoying your holiday season.  I am off to do some wrapping tonight!

These buttons are like little works of art--no wonder people love to collect them.
Enjoy your wrapping--I have so many to wrap--I just do a few at a time--we go ALL OUT for Christmas around here :)

"Who am I to turn away a wayward button?" You are so funny! Love your wooden buttons!! It's always fun to find one that's painted to look like another variety (like glass...)!

Wow, I just found your blog and there is so much beautiful eye candy here! I love the way you display your buttons. I have never been into buttons even though there are tons of old ones from my mom and grandmothers in my basement. Now I want to look through them and display them. Love your pink tree too! I also have a collection of pink ornaments and vintage pink garland. Thanks for sharing all your beautiful things!
