I don't keep up with my garden the way I once did since I'm a bit older and busy growing my junky business. Luckily there are some wild things that show up year after year despite lack of attention from me. I used to fight this wild Lily of the Valley but have learned to embrace it as a sign that Summer is right around the corner.
I am especially fond of the wild Bleeding Heart. The blossoms are not as big as the hybrid variety but it blooms and flourishes all Summer long instead of dying back after a short hurrah.
Soon the volunteer Foxglove will be here with their annual show - blooming wherever they chose to plant themselves.

Raining here for 3 straight days...my ark thinks we're in Portland? I let anything green grow..sometimes our weeds are pretty lol
I didn't pay for any plants in my flower beds. They're all transplants from my mom's flower beds. And I just let them grow wild and free. I try to pull out weeds occasionally. Not always super successful with that. But... I honestly love the wild, overgrown look! I just transplanted a pot of chick and hens last fall... so I can't wait to see how it takes over this spring and summer!
I don't enjoy gardening, so the more plants that bloom and take care themselves, the happier I am!!
I don't know what wild bleeding heart is, but I am going to check it out.
