One Junky Day

'Tis the season with lots of extra-curricular activities last week meant just one junking stop.  The plate in the back is from The Hamilton Hotel, made by Syracuse China.  I don't find restaurant china very often but always grab it when I do.
This was my favorite find for the day.  They are ornaments made from cut tin cans.  Remember when that was a popular craft?  Better watch your fingers when you pick these up but they are sure pretty!
A few more Shiny Brite ornaments to seed the stash for next year.  I am sworn off the solid color balls.  They are about the only fail at the booth this Christmas, even in original boxes.
I will call these swags for lack of a better word.  Plastic holly and felt apples - kitchy mid-century goodness.
I don't usually go for tea cups but couldn't resist this one with the pedestal.  NO, I will not start collecting them.  I had exactly two sets before and I just added one of them to the sell pile.  No, no no...  8+)

Hi Kathy, it is always interesting what sells and what doesn't move in a booth. Great finds this week and I love those layered crocheted trees. I never saw those tin can ornaments. Interesting,, but could be dangerous.
I'm always drawn to the vintage ornaments too.
Lovely tea cup with the pedestal and how fun to find a hotel plate. Getting rare to find those.
Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and all the best in the new year. xo

Love the pedestal tea cup. I've never seen one before. And I never, absolutely NEVER, find any vintage ornaments like you keep discovering. Good for you.

Merry Christmas,
Marrianna in Flagstaff AZ (light snow falling at the moment)

I do remember the tin can ornaments lol! I love the tea cups, seems as if they have been hot and cold my whole junking life. I did find that when I put them out spring and summer they would sell as people use them for wedding showers and teas, but you just never know. Merry Christmas my friend

It's hard to figure out why the shiny brite balls in solid colors wasn't popular again this year, last year they were a hot item.
I bought a couple boxes this month because they were priced very reasonable like $3-4 box!!!

You always find good stuff
Merry Christmas 'Janice

I'm so old I remember making garlands from those old can pop tops for our tree at school. :) Hope you have a lovely Christmas, Kathy.
