Have a Seat

Vintage lawn chairs for my fire pit area have been on my wish list forever but I never have found any that said "buy me", then I discovered they are being reproduced.  The color and the $37.97 price tag SHOUTED "buy me"!  They are not the quality of vintage ones, don't have real powder-coat finish and assembly was required.  Assembly was daunting and fortunately, it was the LAST one that was really stubborn or the other three might still be sitting in the boxes!  The company is called Jack Post if you are interested.  Now that they are in place, I am delighted with them.  Much better than the white plastic ones and these legs won't sink in to the ground and buck you off.
I have also been on the hunt for kitchen chairs.  I bought my table and chairs as a set about 10 years ago and have never liked the chairs.  They have way too big a footprint for my tiny house.  I spotted these at The Bins yesterday. They are sturdy and I like the unusual design of the backs.  The upholstery on the seats is beyond ugly but that is an easy fix.  I happened to spot the drape on the same day so I am considering using that as the replacement.  I have to let it steep a while.
This project will have to wait a couple weeks since I am now on the count-down to the antique mall space. I am mostly finished auditioning in the shelves and will begin pricing next.  Photos coming soon!

Chair envy! Ooh, I love the bones on the set of kitchen chairs you found. I'm sure you scored a great deal on those. Love the color of your backyard chairs, reproduction or not, they're perfect!

You is rocking, lady friend! Great find at the Bins. I was at our Bins store yesterday and didn't see any great chairs like you found. There seemed to be more furniture, however. But I don't need anything so I just glanced at them. I got a few things from the bins for photographs and made my $12 donation for these and other supplies. It was relaxing to walk around after a great yoga class. Glad you found the reproductions of the vintage metal lawn chairs. Those look great.

Blessings, Marrianna

Hi Kathy, great find on the vintage style metal chairs. Love the color. I have a set of my parents from back in the 40's. Love them and they are still as sturdy as ever.
Beautiful find on the kitchen chairs too. Great details on the backs.
Have fun and looking forward to your mall space pics.
Have a great week ahead. xo

I love those chairs. My sister got to my parents vintage ones before I did!

If we had space in our garden, I would check those out, but alas, we are too crowded already.

Both sets of chairs are great. I have one of the vintage metal ones that I put outside by the potting shed. Your new inside chairs have a great structure and I'm sure you will find the right cover. I hope to get by Monty's on the first!

I love those lawn chairs. My grandparents had that kind out in the yard and I wish I had some. The kitchen chairs are real beauties too with the unusual backs.
