A Deep Breath and a Little Relaxation

After the big "pack in" at the antique mall I was stressed out and all shook up because that's how I roll.  Best remedy for me is a little junking.  When I'm junking I'm like a dog with a bone and the junk is the only thing on my mind and everything gets pushed out.  Maybe that's why I love it so much!
I hit a nearby estate sale and was rewarded with lots to look at and plenty to bring home.  I also stopped and Nina and Joe's where I picked up the cabinet cards and a few rhinestone buttons.

I was really rewarded with the satin lingerie bags for my collection.  I picked up the large one for a dollar and got home and discovered there were two more inside.

Lots of pretty playing cards and a big bag of handmade bridge tally booklets.
And, of course, I couldn't resist the patterns because I am just stoopid on those things!
The new booth is chugging along with some sales already and I am trying to get my sea legs under me on the new routine.  I stopped over after work yesterday to fluff and add a few items.  The drive from the office to the mall only took 15 minutes but the drive from the mall to home on surface streets and in rush hour was treacherous.  Luckily I am a very patient driver.  I'm never in too much of a hurry to get anywhere because I kind of like just sitting in my car and day dreaming.  Probably best to stay out of my way.

I never cease to be amazed at the massive amount of wonderful things you find. I'd have to hit sales for a couple of months to accumulate a haul like you get every weekend. Love seeing it all!

Kathy you're off to a great start and sounds like things are beginning to form a routine. You are amazing on what you find. Love these newest treasures and I think you're going to be very busy as you gather your following at the mall. There will be customers coming each week to see what's new in your space.
Have fun and enjoy the process.
Happy 4th of July! cm

Score! You know I'm focusing on those rhinestone buttons and the flower frog too. Love those little tart tins! Good to hear that you're already restocking!!

It's a good sign that you need to restock already. And probably a good thing that junking is your stress reliever so you will have plenty of stash to restock from!

So much to choose from for a favorite this week. I am going with the rusty frog because I am into rust lately.

Kathy is this one of the spaces that you leave and the larger shops handles sales for you? Or do you have to be there when it is open?

Sorry - your new space not the store you went junking in : )

I'm so glad to read that you have already sold some of your treasures in your booth. Congratulations. I have a good suggestion for the traffic drive: start getting audio books on CD from your library. When I'm listening to good mysteries, I actually enjoy being in my car whether I'm driving back and forth to Phoenix or around town here in Flagstaff.

Oh, and congratulations on your 40th wedding anniversary.

Hugs, Marrianna
