I am still fenced in by the driving bubble but managed to get a good junk fix between the VOA and Nina and Joe's Division Street Antiques. Several of these finds will be staying with me. A new Forest Green bowl to add to my collection, three new bird figurines and that vintage straight-sided measuring cup at the top left.
My latest obsession - doll heads. The eyes are what get me. Wouldn't you think she would have a little less attitude when I just rescued her?
I'm a sucker for anything French and was happy to find this pretty blue card of bone curtain rings mixed in a bag of buttons. Love love the "Grandma Green" button and buckle set!
I have always wanted one of these shoe cobbler things. I don't know what they are called. I haven't decided if I will keep the bird plate or pass it along. The bird figurines on it are very dimensional. I have been looking around the house and haven't spotted a place for it but will probably let it "steep" for a while.
The bag of buttons was small but turned out is was an amazing assortment and at least half are keepers. They are all soaking now and I will do a separate post once they are clean and sorted.
A good junk fix is good medicine!

Oh wow love the whole lot that you got!! Such pretties, and looks like so many pieces to play with for crafting!! :) I agree a good junkin/thrifting is good medicine! Enjoy! Happy Sunday Kathy! xo Holly
Okay, that doll head is just plain creepy. I can't wait to see how you use it.
I also love the green of the vase/jar.
Great finds! Hmmm...I've never soaked my buttons. What about the doll body? Was there just a head?
Dolly looks as though she is thinking what-ever. Love the buttons.

I almost hit Nina and Joe's yesterday..but decided I should get home and get stuff done. I have doll heads here too...not a ton but they do stare at me from assorted spots.
Fun stuff for sure! I had to laugh at that doll head, she really does look ungrateful, lol. Love your button haul, I see so many pretties here.
Well, some dolls just have attitude now, don't they? Must be a teenager. They are perfectionists at the rolling eyes technique. Neat finds Kathy!
Ohhhhh...button heaven! That doll head cracks me up!
I'm glad you got to treasure hunt and find some neat things. A doll head...hmmmm! I know you'll think of something! haha! Sweet hugs!
I still haven't been to Nina and Joe's but it's on my list for this coming week when I head over that direction. Doll heads have been a big seller for me on etsy which is great but no one ever tells me what they plan on doing with them. :)
love that doll head! great finds - esp the buttons!
Hi Kathy, looks like you found some great treasures on your hunt. Love the buttons and the doll head is sweet. Reminds me of the tiny tears doll I had as a kid. Looking forward to seeing what you have planned for her! I'm sure she'll adjust the attitude now that she's in a good home!!
Have a great week.
Hugs
You are the only other person I know who collects forest green bowls. I collect all the forest green things, dishes, bowl, vases, pitchers, but over the years have gotten so many I have purged some of the collection. I love your bird plate and the figurines. Doll heads aren't for me but I like the buttons!
Is that another head in the shoe thing?! At least the other head has a sweet smile while she rolls her eyes!
That honey hole just keeps on giving! Man that was a great bag of buttons and that doll head cracks me up!
