Eye Candy For You

Many thanks to all of you who stopped by and left me a comment on my Where Blogger Create post!  I was delighted to meet some new friends and discover some new blogs.  I haven't had a chance to visit everyone yet but continue to make my way around.  If you missed my post and you are looking for it there is a link on my sidebar.
Just when I should be letting you rest your eyes after that very long post, I have another one for you.  I have to tell you about one of my very favorite things that happened during my recent vacation....
The day after we got back from the coast I went up the street to mail some Etsy packages and what to my wondering eye did appear?  A brand new antique store opened in my neighborhood!  I was so excited I think I hugged the proprietor and welcomed them to the neighborhood about 4 times before I even introduced myself.  I might have been jumping up and down. I hope I didn't.
The proprietors, Nina and Joe are just a delight and clearly have a good eye.  I thought I have one of everything but I was wrong - they do! Let's go inside and I will keep my chatter to a minimum...

You have to look high and low because there is eye candy everywhere you turn.

This is not a really large space so I was amazed at how well the space is used and how much vintage goodness they manage to pack in.

As I was sizing the pictures to post I noticed things I didn't even see when I was taking them!

One of the things I love about this shop is the mix they have managed to achieve.  Large furniture, plenty of mantiques, glassware, industrial, retro all artfully woven together so the more you look the more you see.

All in all I think I spent about 3 hours there, over two visits and still don't think I saw everything.  PLUS they add new all the time.  This is a slippery slope only 3 blocks from home!

I hear that birdcage calling my name.

Her expression describes it exactly!
For you locals...  It is called Division Street Antiques at 16016 SE Division,  If you are not local and you saw something in these photos that you can't live without, the number is 503-762-6647.
Welcome Nina and Joe and best of luck in your new location.  Friendly folks with the "right stuff"!!

Okay, I am totally hitting that spot. I love those old store letters - SWEATERS, HOSE etc. Do you happen to know the hours?

Hi Kathy...so glad you posted all these photos!! I HAVE TO get out there. I haven't had the chance to call Nina yet, because I'm worried we'll want to talk for hours to catch up and I'll keep her from her work! Yes, it is a mix of mantiques and tools and such, nicely blended with the rest. Hey, if you are back there soon before I can make it, would you check the price on those two Baileys face cups (like I collect on my little shelf in my studio)? Great post!

This is better than waking up to presents under the tree on Christmas morning! What a fabulous place stuffed full of eye candy! I love that cabinet in the first picture, good thing this store is too far away. You're in trouble now!

One could go absolutely crazy in there.

I haven't been "antiquing" lately so I think I should go today.

thanks for the inspiration

Wow -- 3 blocks from home = a habit. A happy habit, though! I adore that hanging lamp with the glass that looks like petals. And I have been eyeing birdcages myself and have no idea why because I always feel bad for birds in cages!

Such fab Found Treasures... and Adoring the Whimsey Doll in the last Image. I had always lusted after one called Hedda Get Bedda when I was a Child and my parents couldn't afford to get me one... so it was Sweet to 'Score' one many, many years later at Auction!
