Catch-Up Post #2

A little more pre-WBC catching up and then I'll be calling it good.  I can't even say for sure where I bought this stuff at this point - lol!  I think it was the VOA.  The sifter went to Etsy and the rest stayed with me, something I really try not to do but hey, I still had more room on my windowsill for those blue jars and I'm going to have some fun with the paper-mache dress form.
A saWEET little vintage suitcase and two huge bundles of lace.  One is already on Etsy and the other one is patiently waiting for me to get caught up with listing.
Some fav finds from Nina and Joe's new shop.  The vintage postcard album is empty right now but will not stay that way if I have my way!
The glass crown buttons are staying with me but the vintage sewing trim and adorable little bottles will become part of my inspiration kits.  Nina told me the bottles are NOS and they found them in the basement of an old pharmacy.  Isn't it neat when you get a little history on the things you buy?
I picked up this seam binding because I have never seen it packaged this way.  It is placed between two pieces of paper before it is wound on the spool.  Does anyone know why?
I hope the junking gods are smiling fondly on you this weekend!  XO

wish I could tell you why the seam binding is that way, can't, but I like it...unusual. The postcard book and the little suite case are good finds. I really think the little bottles are cute but what is NOS?

I'm glad we got to see all your goodies before they were sold and never seen or heard from again. I adore those sweet little bottles and all the little treasures on the tray. I wonder if the seam binding was packaged like that to protect it?

love the postcard album. I have seam binding like that purchased in Brussels ...so maybe this is the way they did it in europe?

Oh, everything is amazing. Those little bottles are so cute and even more charming now that you know where they came from! I do find old ribbon, not just seam binding, wrapped in paper like that. It's my favorite kind to find! I think it's just a sign of quality.

Those lovely blue bottles remind me of Vicks Vaporub bottles.

I recently got a large roll of ribbon which was packaged the same way; with paper wrapped around it too - I assumed that is was to protect it from getting dirty on the roll. Great finds and I ADORE those crown buttons!!!
