Better late than never. This is my weekend loot from The Bins. I spent a leisurely hour and a half power-digging through the heaps to find this pig pile of little bits and pieces that asked me to bring them home. I never thought about it like that before. I guess I bring home strays.
Do you notice something missing from these pictures? Not a single doily - yay me!!
Love love that beaded bag. The handle is broken on one side so I have to figure out an attractive replacement. I'm open to ideas folks....
This was waiting for me when I got home from work yesterday. Well, you can bet I was worthless until I finished sorting and cleaning all these button. I took this photo before I started poking but the battery in the camera ran out and I couldn't get the picture out until I recharged it. That's as good an excuse as any to take a time out and play!
There were some great buttons in this tin. You can't stop looking until you have picked up and turned over every single button because just when you think there is nothing left to find - there is something else. Buttons are funny that way.

Oh, I love all your buttons, and goodies!!! xo Heather
What a treasure chest you uncovered. I sort through buttons one by one also, you just never know what you're going to find. Good pickin's.
That's it...You keep having all the button fun. I need a button fix and I am off to bid on a lot now. Man these look like a great night of fun. My husband would call me a cheap date. I'll take it. Thank you for the wonderful Eye candy. I say add the purse to a shadow box. Smiles...Renee
LOVE the little beaded bag! Looks like you found some great and different stuff. You really make me want to go on the hunt for buttons...like I need more!
That looks like fun! Have a wonderful weekend celebration!
Jennifer:)
What treasure! I love the strays, too. Just finished sorting a box this morning.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'm following you now. I thought I already was, am now for sure!
I was just reading Karla Nathan's blog and was about to leave a comment about how envious i was of the warm weather and bare feet, when I saw someone had beat me to it. Wondering where that commenter was from, I clicked back to you....I should have known it was my fellow Portlander! Geez, I'm so ready for some sunshine and warmer weather! I do see a bit of blue sky out there this morning. Fingers crossed.
Someday I'm going to bump into you at the bins. I go way more often than i usually admit (except to fellow junkers who 'get' my obsession for 'the hunt'). You scored some great stuff this time around. The beaded purse is wonderful--i agree with someone above who suggested an assemblage or shadow box. And i love all your buttons!
Oh, a wonderful haul! That looks like an older button stash -- and I see a clock key in there, don't I? I really like those bright blue buttons with the larger holes -- are they glass? Shiny! I haven't been thrift shopping in about 3 weeks because I've been ill. (I think that might be a record for me!)
fun fun fun...what were you imagining as you were sorting?!
I am your newest follower..pls follow back if you can.
