I noticed this quote this week and it inspired a page in the new altered altered book. The bottom birdie was cut {gasp} from a postcard I picked up at Plucky. On my inspiration kits I always say ... No instructions are included. Trust yourself, you will know what to do.
Update on the mystery notions in my last post. Two readers have educated me that they are corset stays. Oh good golly, thank goodness Levi hasn't resurrected them in their "look slimmer" jeans! Now I will be the first to admit that back in the day when my husband and I spent a lot of time on the motorcycle I threatened to buy myself a Fredrick's of Hollywood butt for some extra padding but let's just say NO to to corset stays and bustles in our jeans!!

Hi Kathy, Well that mystery solved. Can you see those today in clothing trying to go through a metal detector. LOL
Love the verse on the sweet card. Just precious and true.
Have a great week!
XO
I was going to say some sort of girdle thing..so I was close. Thank goodness that type of thing was way before my time!
That's a great quote and I love the birdies! I never would have thought of corset stays and so glad corsets and bustles aren't in style!!!
I love the quote and the page you created with it.
I am old enough that I wore a girdle beneath my white uniform when I worked in a doctor's office right out of college. I may even have worn one beneath my wedding dress. And, I recall the comment the first time I did not wear the girdle to work. I don't know what prompted me to "go free", but it was the early 70's.
Your new page is just perfect. I love the birds you chose and the saying is sweet and true. Glad the mystery is solved. It was bad enough to wear garter belts before pantyhose came out but corsets??? NO WAY.
An inspiring quote it is! Leave it up to our clever blogging friends to come to the rescue in a "what's it challenge." Corset stays, oh my. I'd last about two minutes with one of those on my body.
I remember when I gave up wearing a girdle. My grandmother was furious with me! "Ladies don't jiggle!" she said. Can't even imagine what she'd think of later styles.
Haven't heard the quote before and love your treatment of it.
Hee hee...I'm butt-less, too, and have seriously considered padding! You crack me up. I love your bird page -- how did you do the words? The paper looks kind of transparent.
I love that quote!!! It is just fantastic! Wishing you a wonderful week friend! Nicole xo
{gasp} This cracked me up as I am always cutting things up. (Please don't tell anyone.) And I too vote no on corset jeans or anything else corset-related.
Love that quote and the beautiful bird images.... perfect together!
